Work Experience

2019 - Present

Mechanical Architect/Sr. Designer, ASML US

With over a decade of experience in mechanical design and architecture, I have consistently delivered innovative solutions and optimized product development cycles for high-tech industries. As a Senior Designer/Mechanical Architect at ASML US, I have been responsible for defining optomechanical architecture and guiding engineering teams in translating requirements into seamlessly designed subcomponents. I have successfully driven the design process, leveraging prototyping and additive manufacturing for early optimization and root cause analysis. Throughout my career, I have demonstrated expertise in precision optomechanical design, applying design best practices and analyses such as structural, thermo-structural, and design for manufacturing (DfM) to ensure top-level quality and performance. I have also mentored and provided guidance to designers, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and adherence to industry standards.

2019 - 2019

AM Researcher, Raytheon Technology Research Center (UTRC)

In addition to my role at ASML, I have experience as an Intern-Additive Manufacturing Process Engineer at United Technology Research Center (UTRC)/Raytheon Technology, where I established and executed new modeling capabilities for laser powder bed fusion (L-PBF). I successfully validated key parameters through physics-based simulations, optimizing the process window for defect-free metal 3D printed parts. This experience allowed me to develop strong skills in thermal science, heat transfer, and thermomechanical analysis, as well as the ability to optimize numerical models through validation with experimental results. I have also demonstrated proficiency in structural and stress analyses, machine element design, and fatigue analysis.

2014 - 2019

Researcher, CHSLT/WPI ME DEPT

During my academic pursuits as a PhD student and researcher at the Center for Holographic Studies and Laser Micromechatronics (CHSLT) and the Center for Advanced Research in Drying (CARD), I have conducted groundbreaking research in optical metrology, non-invasive medical sensors, and thermal science. I have successfully developed and applied various optical techniques for medical applications and advanced physics-based simulations for performance prediction of complex parts. My research contributions have been recognized through publications in prestigious journals and presentations at conferences.

2005 - 2014

Lead Mechanical and Process Engineer, Omrab Eng Co

As the Lead Mechanical and Process Engineer at OMRAB ENG CO, I successfully coordinated and managed multi-disciplinary projects in the water, wastewater, and oil industries. Working in a goal-oriented team, I led the engineering efforts, ensuring projects were designed, procured, and supervised according to specified timelines, costs, and requirements. I played a key role in generating design sketches, proposals, and 2D/3D drawings for mechanical equipment, taking into consideration subsystem availability, manufacturability, and cost constraints.

My expertise extended to equipment sizing and optimization, with a focus on heat exchangers, chillers, compressors, pumps, evaporators, condensers, and control valves. I conducted thorough structural and stress analyses, identifying factors such as lifetime, failure mechanisms, causes of distortion, and stresses in components and structures. Utilizing my proficiency in static and dynamic structural linear and nonlinear finite element analysis (FEA) using tools like ANSYS and COMSOL, I ensured the integrity and performance of the designed systems. Furthermore, I excelled in machine element design and fatigue analysis, overseeing the manufacturing process for both metallic and non-metallic parts.
